1075 Ghent Road
  • The Zoning Commission is reviewing a rezoning application for 1075 Ghent Rd.  The applicants are seeking a rezoning of the property to allow for a dentist office.  The current use is single family residential (R-2) and they are seeking a restricted business use (B-4).  The application has been reviewed by Summit County Planning Commission.  Summit County Planning Commission did recommend to approve the rezoning after a lengthy discussion on the proposal and the corridor.  During the discussions concerns of spot zoning were raised and several members recommended researching the area in a more comprehensive manner. 
  • On February 11th the Zoning Commission held their public hearing.  An overview of the project was presented followed by a summary of the Summit County Planning Commission meeting.  Following those discussions the Zoning Commission accepted a motion to table the application and proceed with an in-depth planning study of the corridor.Updated plan Rotated

Ghent Road/Cleveland Massillon Road
  • A mixed-use retail/office building is being proposed at the intersection of Ghent Rd. and Cleveland Massillon Rd.

4655 Medina Road
  • Site work has begun for a new office building located at 4655 Medina Rd.  The access to the site is shared with the access to the architects office and dentist office to the east via the light at Medina Rd. and S. Hametown Rd.
