About Friends of Yellow Creek (FOYC)

Mission Statement:
To preserve, protect and enhance the aesthetic, physical, and biological integrity of the Yellow Creek Watershed. This mission shall be accomplished through actions such as monitoring, education, conservation and restoration.

Friends of Yellow Creek began as the Yellow Creek Watershed Committee.  It was created in January, 2006, by a Resolution of Bath Township as a citizen group to ensure the preservation and protection of the Yellow Creek and its tributaries. It is guided by the strategies in The Yellow Creek Watershed Action Plan created by the Northeast Ohio Four County Regional Planning and Development Organization (NEFCO).
