Bath Program on Oil and Gas Drilling – Postponed---
Bath Township – With the recent interest in the exploration of Ohio gas and oil, many Bath
Township residents have been approached by companies interested in the mineral rights to their
properties. This has raised numerous questions from residents regarding compensation, legal
issues, and environmental concerns.
On Monday, January 23, 2012 Bath Township and the Friends of Yellow Creek had planned to host an informative program to answer some of these questions.
However representatives from the Division of Mineral Resources of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources notified the township on Friday that they cannot attend on Monday evening. The Department of Mineral Resources has requested that we reschedule the meeting when they can have their staff attend.
The program had been planned for 7:00 p.m. in the Revere High School Auditorium. We will announce a new date when our other panel members along with representatives from Ohio Department of Mineral Resources can attend.
