The Bath Fire Department is pleased to announce the hiring of George Seifert on February 1, 2002 as our Inspector Supervisor. Mr. Seifert has been a part-time firefighter/EMT since 1985. His primary duties will be to oversee the Inspection Bureau, supervise the activities of 3 other Fire Safety Inspectors, review construction plans, and to assure inspection of every commercial structure in Bath Township at least once a year. In addition to conducting annual fire inspections, the Bureau also is responsible for issuing permits, enforcing occupant loads, designating fire lanes, investigating building complaints, check fire protection systems, and reviewing plans for new construction and remodeling jobs.
Mr. Seifert brings experience, education and enthusiasm to our Inspection Bureau. Business owners and operators in Bath Township can look forward to working with him toward our common goal of safe and hazard-free businesses and public occupancies
