Highlights of 1998 were:

World Series of Golf - We sent Scott Forshey, Kevin Hylbert and Patches & Pumper, to interact with kids, at the request of Children's Hospital.

Lowe's - We sent Scott Forshey, Dan McClelland, Dave Flowers and Kevin Hylbert to their grand opening. The Hazard House, Patches & Pumper, the Smoke House as well as handouts on carbon monoxide, CPR, and home safety were on display for two days.

EMS week - The week started out with a display board containing pictures of Bath Fire Department in action and handouts for the public at Acme Super Center. The finale was at K-mart along with Copley Fire Department, Summa Hospital, Children's Transport Team and Metro Life Flight. We had a demonstration for confined space in which Chief Gordon Hartschuh and crew extricated a victim from the Summit County SCBA trailer, Terry Brock and station two personnel were instrumental in a vehicle extrication demonstration, plus there were a lot of other activities for kids and their parents to enjoy.

Safety Town - Every year the Bath Fire Department participates in Safety Town that is put on by the Bath Police Department. Thank you to Mike Sullivan, Lieutenant Tim Gemind, Lieutenant Lyn Allison, Scott Forshey, Dan McClelland, Asst. Chief Jim Paulett and Tom Kamp for their time.

Special thanks goes to Chief Gordon Hartschuh, Bath Fire Department Incorporated, and the Bath Township Trustees; without their support many of these programs would not be possible.
