Proposed Construction of Two (2) Cell Phone Towers -
Shade Road in Bath Township
Revere Road in Akron (Edge of Bath Township)
We received from the Bath Historical Society the attached information concerning proposed towers in two locations – one at Shade and Interstate 77 in Bath Township and other in the City of Akron in the 700 Block of Revere Road (just north of Olentangy). Both locations are currently under Section 106 Review of effects to Historic Properties in the one half mile radius of the sites. Both appear to be installation in current high line electric structure and neither is a stand alone pole. The township is researching the zoning perspective at this time. Please review the following attachments and make sure that you include the case number in correspondence. More information will be posted on the township web as it becomes available.
Pursuant to Stipulation V.F. of the Nationwide Programmatic Agreement for Review of Effects on Historic Properties for Certain Undertakings Approved by the Federal Communications Commission, the local government in which a tower is to be constructed is entitled to participate in Section 106 consultation as a consulting party.
Stipulation V.G. of the Nationwide PA states that following:
"Consulting parties are entitled to: (1) received notices, copies of submission packets, correspondence, and other documents provided to the SHPO/THPO in a Section 106 review; and (2) be provided an opportunity to have their views expressed and taken into account by the Applicant, the SHPO/THPO, and, where appropriate, by the Commission."
We encourage you to send your comments regarding the proposed tower to Bath Historical Society, Apex Companies/T-Mobile, State Preservation Office and to the FCC with a copy to Bath Township in 30 days of May 16 2007.
